Round #10 - Challenge #7 - Voting

This will determine the final 3 so please vote!

Rules:
- Vote for 1 icon of the least quality. Reasons such as 'I don't like' or 'It's too plain' are not allowed. Actually think about why you are voting out the icon. If the icon is too plain, why is that bad thing? What could have been done to improve the icon?
- Also vote for 1 icon that you feel is the best quality. The reason for this one is optional but encouraged.
- Keep your icon identity hidden until after the results are posted. Do not vote for yourself or get anyone to vote for you.
- You do not have to be a participant to vote (the more the merrier!).
- Positive votes do not take away from the amount of negative votes. This will change in the event of a tie.
- The comments are screened.
- If you entered and do not vote then you will not be eligible for Community's Choice or Mod's Choice.

120. The image is very sharp in spots including Buffy's hair line & facial features. It could have looked better with either some contrast or using a blur tool.

#3 - really cool concept, but the font in red is VERY hard to read, seems blurry and like it is running together.

#4 - really fun use of the caps and I love the font for the text.

1 least quality icon:
#4 - reason- I like the idea of the monster in the background but the background is a little too muted and the background kind of blends together. Buffy is a little too dark and has too much contrast which makes it hard to see the details.

# 1- reason (optional) I really like the creativity of this icon. It was an extremely dark cap and this was a unique way to brighten and change it.

Least quality:

#3 the text is too different - too many fonts without reason to make them different, as well as more than two colors. The red "screaming" is blurry and hard to read. I actually like to use more than one font, too, but it should be to emphasize something, e.g. make one most important word a different font (here, that might have been "screaming") and everything else the same.

Best quality:

#4 I love the composition of Buffy screaming and the Gentleman hearing her.

1 least quality icon:
#2 - reason: The understated background takes too much room, and there's no real contrast to the somehow not very dramatically looking Buffy, despite the excitement this scene should convey (instead it almost looks as if she's yawning). It seems like the artist hasn't done very much with the original except lighting it up a bit?

#1 - reason (optional): It was a bit of a tie between this and #3, which has a great composition and looks overall just great. But I have to go with the Munch version! The idea alone is brilliant, and the execution excellent.

#2 - the icon looks like not much was done to it except brightening it, making it plain compared to the other ones.

3 - the idea behind this icon is great, but some of the text is hard to read on my screen, and if I didn't know the quote, I wouldn't be able to read the word "die". Buffy looks a little washed out on my screen as well, maybe adding some contrast would help her hair not blend into her face.

1 - I don't really like the colors of the icon, but the concept is really cool and obviously took a lot of time painting the icon to get all the colors and swirls. Make me think of the painting "The Scream" which is probably the point ;)

#3 - reason The font for "die screaming" is incredibly hard to read. If I didn't know the line, I'd have no idea what it says.

Least Favorite: #2 - very little has been done to the original cap beyond cropping and lightening; the center crop is dull. Cropping in much closer to Buffy's face, setting it at an angle, or pushing the color saturation might have made this one more intersting.

Favorite: #1. Setting Buffy's scream within the context of Mucha's famous painting is a brilliant idea thematically and stylistically! I love that you've rendered in the style of Mucha; the brilliant colors really draw the eye.

1 least quality icon:
#3 - i feel that the text over powers the icon, the font in red looks blurry and the rest looks too close together (but that is a little too nit picky). I also feel that the cropping is a odd here. Between the crop and the tilt of the icon I feel everything looks a little out of place.
