Round #12 - Challenge #9 - Voting

Rules:
- Vote for 1 icon of the least quality. Reasons such as 'I don't like' or 'It's too plain' are not acceptable. Actually think about why you are voting out the icon. If the icon is too plain, why is that bad thing? What could have been done to improve the icon?
- Also vote for 1 icon that you feel is the best quality. The reason for this one is optional but encouraged.
- Please do not focus on the icon fitting the theme as your main reason for voting a icon out.
- Keep your icon identity hidden until after the results are posted. Do not vote for yourself or get anyone to vote for you.
- You do not have to be a participant to vote (the more the merrier!).
- Positive votes do not take away from the amount of negative votes. This will change in the event of a tie.
- One person will be eliminated as the result of the voting.
- The comments are screened.
- If you entered and do not vote then you will not be eligible for Community's Choice or Mod's Choice.
- Voting will be open until Monday at around 11 PM ET. - Extended until tie breaks.

12. The texture really takes away from the focus of the icon and throws off the balance.
120. The image is very sharp in spots including Buffy's hair line & facial features. It could have looked better with either some contrast or using a blur tool.

166. The coloring really makes the icon stand out from the others.

#4 - I like the composition itself with the negative space and the creative text placement. But the text and the image don't seem to fit together - the image in b/w and the text in color, the image soft and the text sharp. It doesn't come together as a coherent whole.

#3 - I actually don't any of the icons are bad but if I have to choose. Spike could use a little more light on his face to give him a less flat feeling and the text, while I like the font, is blurry which is throwing me off and would have looked slightly better turned a bit more the way his face is angled.

One least quality icon:

#1 - the image looks a bit blurry (could do with some sharpening) and too much background is shining through the hair on the left. I love the colour and lettering though!

2 - love the colouring, but i find the composition a bit awkward, it's hard to read the text and figure out what it saying, as it blends into the background, and it could be a little sharper. with so many great icons i'm being picky though!!

Okay, this is super difficult, because all 3 are amazing, and mines is rubbish! So being really, REALLY nit picky here.

1 least quality icon:
4 - The lighting detracts slightly from the icon as it's the first thing I look at, rather than the lovely composition and text work. I think because it is a black and white icon with text, the lighting should be more subtle? This is all I've got sorry, it's a really great icon.
