Wow, this is difficult because they are all good! So I am voting for the lease quality of 9 quality icons, but here goes.
Least Quality:
8. Because I think the composition is too busy for an icon. It may have been more impactful if the artist eliminated the background and replaced it with something simpler like a plain color or a gradient, and then just kept the two characters in the foreground.
5. I'm voting for this one because of text placement. The text drops off at the bottom of the icon. I can't see the full word "is". So for people not very familiar with the show, it might lose meaning. I like the text, though. Maybe the image of Buffy could have been a tiny bit smaller to allow better placement of the text.

It's hard to pick a favorite, but I really like the tonal quality of 3. I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about how important colors are to the overall effect, and in this one, the color pallet between the image and the text works well together and the overall color pallet itself creates a feeling. That being said, the feeling it creates for me is soothing, which is perhaps in contrast with what the text is actually saying.
